Toby is a well-rounded Gypsy Sport Horse offering an excellent combination of temperament, training, and versatility. He is sired by PFR Mandarin Aquillion (GVHS registered Gypsy Vanner) and out of Bucks Painter (registered American Paint Horse). GHRA registration is pending.
Training and Education: Toby has been professionally started and consistently trained, with a solid western foundation. He rides comfortably both English and Western and offers a soft, responsive feel. He is balanced, understands lateral work, and performs flying changes. He has extensive experience on the trail and confidently navigates obstacles. Toby ground drives well and is ready to transition into harness work. He is capable of schooling First Level Dressage, with some Second Level work. He rides in a snaffle, curb bit, or bosal. Experience: Toby spent two summers working with a professional outfitting business in the Wyoming mountains, gaining valuable real-world experience. He is confident, sure-footed, and dependable in varied terrain, maintaining a steady and level-headed demeanor both inside and outside the arena.
Care and Maintenance: Toby is up to date on dental care and vaccinations. He trailers, clips, and handles easily, and stands quietly for both the farrier and veterinarian. He is currently shod but has successfully gone barefoot. He has no known soundness issues and requires no maintenance. Temperament: Toby is a safe, honest gelding with a willing and cooperative disposition. He has no history of bucking, rearing, bolting, or other undesirable behaviors.
Versatility: Toby is well suited for a variety of disciplines, including ranch riding, ranch trail, dressage, driving, and mountain trail riding. He also bows and will side pass to a mounting block for easy mounting. Toby is an excellent choice for someone seeking a dependable, educated horse with the foundation and mindset to continue developing in whatever direction you would like to take him!
