Peanut is an own son of the great, NCHA hall of fame stallion, Dual Rey. Peanut is a fully-trained cutting horse, with earnings of $3200 in NCHA. He is a well-rounded individual who is versatile and fun. Peanut is one of the smoothest horses to ride, he has a very comfortable trot and lope. He rides off right in between the bridle reins with no silly business even with time off. Peanut will easily lope off in the correct lead in both directions on a loose rein while maintaining a nice, level headset. He will drag his butt in the ground when asked to stop and when cued will walk off on a loose rein. He rides up or down for his riders and will only go as fast or as slow as you would like. His size of 14.1 offers an easy step into the stirrup. His size and conformation give him the athletic ability to really get down on a cow, he excels in ranch cutting and is a heap of fun. Peanut is great out in the wide-open spaces and that is where we feel you can really appreciate his training and ability. He will take you through the tall grass, rough terrain, or on a pasture ride to gather up the cattle. He is easy to maneuver wherever you want to go with and does so willingly by neck rein or direct rein. Peanut takes on new obstacles with ease and handles traffic, the noise of town, and tar roads like a pro. He rides out by himself or in a group without having to be the leader. He stands tied in the cross ties, to a fence or the trailer without problem. Is easy to saddle and bridle and is great for the farrier. He is easy to catch in the pasture or a stall, and more often than not is the first to meet you at the gate. Peanut loads and unloads without problem and is good to haul. It is easy to appreciate Peanut and his demeanor for riders that are anywhere from novice to advanced. UTD on deworming, dental, and farrier. 100% sound.
