Lowry Blazen Gunner (I just call him Goose), is the real deal. He stands right about 15 hands and has 40 rides on him. Goose is one of the quietest, smartest, and most broke young horses you’ll ever swing a leg over. He stops, turns, walks, trots, handles slopes, and has been lightly started on barrels. You can swing ropes off of him, he’s drug tires, and he’s completely fine with dogs. This colt watches a cow like he was born for it and handles himself with confidence in all situations. He neck reins, ground ties, and picks up all four feet like a champ. He stands great for trims. He bows and is currently learning to lay down. Ride him in a bosal, a bit, a halter—or no headgear at all. I’ve had tack break mid-ride, and he’ll still carry you home bridle-less. You can ride him bareback straight out of the pasture, and you don’t even need to halter him—he’ll follow you in, even if you’re leading another horse. My 6-year-old little sister rides him, and Goose turns into the most careful, steady partner under her. He slows his gaits down for her and listens like a dream. He reads your energy—if you’re mellow, he’s mellow. If your energy picks up, he’ll respond without getting hot or anxious. He truly thinks and adjusts to his rider. He’s got excellent conformation, a kind eye, and he’s flat-out good-looking. He doesn’t get picked on in the herd—he’s got that confident, steady nature. Not in a rush to sell. Goose is one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of raising and riding. I have roped a few claves off him and doctored calves and he doesn’t bat an eye. LOCATION: Miles City, MT.
