RIO – 2021 GRADE Gray Gelding
Flashy Finished Ranch Horse. 15hh and thick. Been used for everything on the ranch. Branding, sorting, dragging. Doctored many out in the pasture. Stays fat on air. NO BUCK, good with time off. Side passes both ways. Stop, back, neck reins. Snappy on a cow in the alley way sorting. Work a flag off of him. Open and close ALL kinds of gates on him, on both sides. Rode at the sale barn in all types of weather, knows what a hard days work is. Gathered in rough country in Montana most of his life. Younger, but has seen it all! Been hauled all over. Trailers well, stands. Great with other horses. Stands good to saddle and bathe. Ties good, won’t pull back. Strong to the horn, he would pull a house down if you let him! Trailer loaded yearlings in the snow with him. Rides out great alone, not herd bound. Has been ridden by beginners but requires an intermediate rider since he has buttons. This gelding will go all day & meet you at the gate the next morning. Good hard feet, good on his feet as well, never trips and watches for holes. He does have half dollar sized saddle tracks on both sides of his wither, doesn’t affect him any. Small unnoticeable scar on his front left. Hard to see unless you push the hair back. Been around dogs, kids, and different equipment driving around him. Not spooky, can take a hookin from your nastiest cow. Crosses water, logs, downfall. Been hauled to a handful of different arenas. Lopes circles one handed, picks up his leads. Has smooth strides with a rockin horse lope. Rides in anything from a halter to a shanked bit. Never had any soundness or health issues in his life. Helped halter break quite a few colts off of him. Rio has been our go to horse for all the jobs around the ranch. Ranch Horse Deluxe! Willing to hold for 10 days, will work with buyer on hauling.
