Pepper is a seasoned, dependable gelding that has been used extensively on the ranch and in the feedlot. He opens and closes gates, sorts cattle with ease, crosses water willingly, and genuinely enjoys dragging calves to the fire. This is a horse that knows his job and does it well. Pepper is also a proven head and heel horse suitable for any level of roper. He has been hauled to numerous local jackpots and Wrangler ropings, both indoors and outdoors, and handles pressure with no issues. He has been hauled multiple times when the Wrangler Finals were held inside the Metra, and noise, lights, and commotion do not bother him. For the past four years, Pepper has been my wife’s main ranch horse during the week and our family rope horse on the weekends. While we won’t label him strictly as a kids’ horse, he has safely carried greener riders without issues and takes care of whoever is in the saddle.
