Nichols has extensive mountain experience – he crosses large logs, walks through streams and rivers, and has been utilized on overnight trips; he has also been packed on and is steady and confident in rough country. Nichols also spent time this spring on a working cattle ranch, which included exposure to gathering, sorting, and branding. He is soft in the bridle, moves easily off leg pressure, has a nice stop, and has three natural gaits in the arena, having been ridden both English and Western by his previous owner.
