Phoenix is a nicely broke 4-year-old, true black mare with an exceptional mind. She’s currently cruising a barrel pattern and being hauled to jackpots and doing time- onlys. She rides soft, correct, and has a nice stop. I purchased her directly from the breeder two years ago, and she has been extremely easy to bring along. She’s a granddaughter of Corona Cartel through Mito Corona, with proven ranch and cow breeding on the bottom side (Don Juan Valdez / Double Doc), giving her both athletic ability and a great brain. Outside the arena, she’s as handy as they come. She’s been on week-long Bob Marshall pack trips, overnight rides, has led pack strings, and ponied other horses. She is easy to be around, stands tied, hauls well, settles into new places, and gets along with both mares and geldings. Not mareish, just steady and willing. Phoenix is sound, healthy, and well maintained with strong feet. She does have a scar on her right hock that does not affect her. X-rays are available. She has a great mind but is also athletic and quick footed, put those together, and the sky is the limit. She’s a true all-around prospect, the kind you can take in any direction.
