STEVE – 2019 GRADE Sorrel Gelding

Here’s a horse that can flat get around! Steve is a well-bred grade gelding standing 15 hands weighing 1100 pounds, versed in all the ranch chores, started in the arena on the heel side, and has back country trail experience as well. Steve is home raised and grade only due to his dam passing away before her paperwork was in order. His sire in an own some of Playgun and out of a daughter of Docs Oak. His dam was a great rope horse from the Gruel breeding program of Cascade Montana featuring Doc Tom Tucker and Docs Oak on her papers. Steve has seen and excels at all of the day to day ranch chores of a large cow calf operation sorting in and outside, both head and heel and drag brandings, and big gathers. He has also spent a winter in Kentucky where he was used for doctoring feeder calves daily. He is fun to rope on outside. He has a true one handed neck rein and has all the fancy buttons. He is the very feely sensitive type loaded with athleticism and cow sense making him one of the best horses around to sort on. Steve has been started in the arena on the heel side. He has had allot of dummy time and healing slow calves outside giving him a solid foundation to build on. He has been out of the box on around 50 head of live steers and is showing real potential with good rate and a big stop. Steve is the ideal horse for a serious competitor looking for their next prospect, someone that wants a nice ranch horse at their neighbors branding, or anyone in the market for a perfect sized well broke gelding in the prime of his life.
