ROCKET PISTOL – 2017 GRADE Gray Pony Gelding.
We got Rocket Pistol in Billings 2 years ago as a project for our 11-year-old (at the time) nephew. He is whack-him-in-the-face-not-pull-back-safe as it comes on the ground. He is great to trim and groom. He has been used in all aspects of ranch work sorting, trailing, and branding. He has been hauled to different places and is ready to jackpot on in the heeling and has headed a few steers. Roping, he is very laid back and doesn’t get hot. He is still 5 and keeps getting better and better but with time off he can get a little fresh, but doesn’t hop around enough to get you off. He is as tough as they come, he can go all day. He is stout enough for a grown up to ride. Rocket Pistol would thrive with a kid ready for a step-up horse that wants to go all day and rope a lot of steers.
