RUBEN – 2015 GRADE Sorrel Paint John Mule
Ruben is a very handsome sorrel and white paint John mule that we purchased from Jason Griffin at the Jake Clark Mule Days sale in Cody Wyoming in June of 2024. He stands 15 hands and weighs 1150 lbs. He is very well broke, has a nice easy neck rein and is very smooth. I bought him for my 68 year old wife and though she has ridden him at the ranch numerous times and on trail rides, she feels he is too tall and a little too much for her. He is very stout, athletic and can go all day every day. He can really cover the country and is plenty fast. You can sure enough get around cattle and turn em. I like riding him for gathering and working. He is gentle and easy to be around. He is easy to catch, saddle, bridle, trim, shoe, bathe, and is good with his ears. He is very handy at working gates. He has a very smooth trot and lope and a fast ground covering walk. His prior owner said they doctored yearlings on him. Ruben is a real head turner.
