Shooter is a very well put together 4 year old gelding with the build, athleticism and attitude to handle long hard days. Shooter is sired by an own son of Playgun, a name that needs no introduction, and is out of a mare by an own son of Smart Little Lena, a line that has produced countless top-level cutters and cowhorses. His pedigree reflects cow sense, athleticism, and the kind of durability that holds up to real work. Full disclosure: Shooter can be cold-backed with time off. He has never offered to buck once being ridden, but after time off he may hump or buck when first saddled. A short groundwork or lunging session takes care of it, and once warmed up he goes on to work all day without issue. He is best suited for a confident, experienced rider who understands young horses and will benefit from consistency.
