RIO – 2020 GRADE Blue Roan Gelding
“This ain’t something you see every day, bro!” A famous line from the kid’s movie “Rio” where the name for this little blue roan horse comes from, and this fits perfectly! Look no further if you are wanting a tough horse, he checks all the boxes! Rio stands at 14.3hh and has been used extensively as a trail and mountain horse. We have used him in hunting camps and lightly packed him. Rio is a tough horse that will out work some of the bigger horses and will go on 30 plus mile trail rides… We have used him for ranch work, he has been to several brandings and is good with roping and dragging calves to the fire. Rio is the first one to meet you at the gate and loves attention. He is easy to shoe, loads into a trailer with ease, hobble & highline broke, and crosses logs and water without hesitation. He rides extremely well in an arena… stays extremely quiet and will lope nice big circles. Rio has been ridden by children, but with adult guidance. Would work for an older child with experience, but not a novice. UTD on Vaccines and Worming. PPE’s are welcomed at buyers expense. UTD on Vaccines and Worming. We will hold for 7 days without charge and are willing to help organize hauling from the ranch.
