ROSITA – 2021 GRADE Sorrel Crossbred Mare

ROSITA!! 14.3hh. Kicking off our 2025 Production Sale is a sweet little mare we call Rosita. Rosita has spent all Fall in the steepest, roughest country that Wyoming has to offer. We used her as a wrangle horse in camp to bring the horses to and from their grazing pasture for the night and packed camp in and out on her. She has about 45 days of professional riding on her but the kind of horse that would make the perfect “weekender” type of horse. She gets along well in a group of horses, easy to catch in a corral, and has a kind eye to her. Would be a great addition to anyone’s program. CACTUS – 2020 GRADE Bay Roan Draft Stallion

DREAM HORSE! Cactus is a super gentle STALLION with a loving personality. He stands right at 17hh. Cactus is easy to get along with and is a gentleman to his mares when pasture breeding. RIO – 2020 GRADE Blue Roan Gelding

“This ain’t something you see every day, bro!” A famous line from the kid’s movie “Rio” where the name for this little blue roan horse comes from, and this fits perfectly! Look no further if you are wanting a tough horse, he checks all the boxes! Rio stands at 14.3hh and has been used extensively as a trail and mountain horse. Our gentle GIANT! The one everyone falls in love with… Standing at 16.1hh, Tom has such a kind heart and eye to him. He wants to be everyone’s friend and loves attention. Nothing phases him. Chickens, dogs, sheep, the branding pen, he just always has the same demeanor. Calm, cool, and collected. DD DENVER BUG – 2019 AQHA Buckskin Mare x Denver Red Buck x Two Eyed Red Buck out of Fuel Your Cash x Dallas Fuel

We bought DD DENVER BUG “AKA ROSE” as another trail horse and Brood Mare with intentions of breeding here yearly. We haven’t had any luck with our stallion which means we have to switch gears with some of our mares. Rose is a great horse and well broke to ride, she is fairly easy and spends most of the time around the field with her boyfriends all day. We have been using her as an extra trail horse which she loves riding the trails especially with other horses. She will saddle with ease, stand for the farrier, back out of a trailer and stand tied all day. She’s good with other horses and doesn’t really have the mare boss attitude toward the rest of our horses. Her last owner had her in a stock yard standing on a concrete pad which has given her more of a favored step as she has a small calcium/bone build up from the hard concrete in her front left pastern which made us decide she would be the perfect brood mare. When we trail ride her, you can’t tell it even bothers her, she doesn’t seem to favor it at all when riding, so we never thought much of it. She enjoys getting out so much I don’t think it’s really been an issue at least for us, but it’s there and we are disclosing it. A veterinarian recommended shock wave therapy to take it down and possibly eliminate the bump, but we haven’t gone that route yet as we haven’t had a real job for her. I was actually going to start her on the heel side this summer but I ran out of time with my other projects. She makes a great horse and is sweet as can be when you put the halter on she is ready to be loved and ready to go ride. She has been off most of the summer just running around the pasture so I would say a couple tune up rides would be a good idea for anyone ready to hit the trails or start her on another task. I’ve never had her buck or kick on me, only a little spunky mare sass once in a while when she sit’s in the pasture too long. Other than her small pastern bump, she is a great horse with no other blemishes. I’ve always heard there are three things to look for when buying a horse:1) disposition, 2) disposition, 3) disposition! This young prospect carries all three. He is in your pocket, loves to be with people, loves to be groomed and handled. He almost asks you to teach him. He’s got good size to him, stands straight on all four legs, and has good, hard black feet. Blemish free. A beautiful long mane and tail and striking blue roan color. He should be ready to start in the spring when he turns two. We have ponied him, taken him for walks in big country, jumping over ditches, logs, and any obstacle that you may run into. He has been a joy to work with and he is one we will miss. The only reason we are selling him is because, at 71, I know he will not be a horse that I would be able to use. Nugget is the nicest 2 year old. He has such a good mind and is super willing and easy to train. He has been rode all over the ranch and in the mountains. DANNY – 2022 GRADE Bay Gelding

I bred and raised Danny. His dam always throws good natured foals and he is a good one. Danny is broke to drive. He is laid back and easy going. I have used him on all the farm equipment and used him to cut hay this summer. He is too slow for me for a buggy horse but would make someone an excellent pleasure driving horse or I believe he would break out very easily as a riding horse. MONICA – 2012 GRADE Dun Mare

Monica is a stunning line back dun mare. She is just about as sweet as they come. She’s been used to gather cows and just go for rides. She’s crossed water and rides like a rocking horse. Easy to catch. Rides bareback. Monica is UTD on wormer and had her teeth done this fall. She has been turned out with both mares and geldings and she seems to latch onto a specific horse from the herd. Doesn’t care much where she is in the pecking order as long as it’s not on top. RACHEL – 2018 GRADE Palomino Mare

Rachel is a gorgeous palomino mare. She is broke to ride and has seen cows. She has been ponied and does well. Rachel has been turned out with both geldings and other mares and she doesn’t have seem to have a preference. She loads in a trailer very well and is great to shoe/trim. EMERSON – 2019 GRADE Red Roan Gelding

Perfect size, shape and color! This grade 2019 gelding stands about 14.2hh and is thick built with an eye-catching red roan coat and lots of chrome. Has been used on the ranch doctoring cattle and chasing broncs. Was used at the market all fall penning cattle in 2024. A bit more whoa than go but still very athletic. Surefooted with a smooth long trot and smooth lope. A comfortable one to ride! Moves off leg nicely and sidepasses well. Was gelded later so can be a little stud-like out in pasture with mares at times but isn’t a bully. Can be watchy on the ground and harder to catch out in large pasture but gets better if he is being consistently caught and used every day. Has been on the back burner for us and would do best with someone who can give him the time and attention he needs. Jag is a good looking gelding that has been there, done that! Pasture doctor, brand, sort pairs, or gather your herd of horses on him and he’ll be sure to get the job done. Quiet and easy going under saddle, can get along with just about anyone. Has been roped off of by both left and right handed ropers. More whoa than go but not dull and will fire right up when on cattle. Has also been used out on the trails and been in a pack string during hunting season. Gets gates, moves off leg and handles nicely. Can be watchy on the ground so for that reason would not recommend for a beginner, but he does get better with consistency. Needs someone to be kind to him so he can build some trust but has never done anything malicious. If you want a best friend who will be in your pocket all the time, this is probably not the guy. But if you need a reliable partner you can count on to go get a job done, he’s my first pick. REBA – 2014 GRADE Sorrel Mare

Easy to get along with. Doesn’t get tight with time off and comes right back to work but can be trickier to catch out in a large pasture if she’s had a chunk of time off. Not a kick ride, goes the speed you ask of her. Has been started on the dummy and been to the branding pen. Good size and bone. We purchased her 2 years ago and have found she is not the best fit for our program. Seems like she would do better as a one-person horse. Has been bred before by previous owners.
