TIMMY – 2018 GRADE Bay John Mule.

Timmy is the definition of a CADILLAC when it comes to mules, standing at 16.3hh he found his way to the top of our sale catalog pretty quickly. It is hard to find a young mule of his caliber that is as gentle and easy-going as Timmy. We have used him extensively in our outfitting camps for the past two seasons packing various sizes of loads including meat, equipment, and horns. Timmy has been a vital member of our outfitting team and a favorite across the board.  He is also very broke to ride, sometimes being used to lead strings through the tough Wyoming country. Timmy is easy to catch, shoe, and safe for all ages to be around.  When he is not in camp, he is great with the dogs and the kids, and if you ever needed to take the day off and have some fun, he has many experiences with obstacle courses. We hate to see Timmy leaving the ranch this winter and he really will be missed on the string, but he truly does check all the boxes. GEORGE – 2021 GRADE Belgian Chestnut Gelding.

MR. MISUNDERSTOOD! At first glance, George looks to be a big, stout, powerful gelding. While he is all those things, George is really just a gentle giant. Standing at 17.1 HH our Chestnut Belgian draft horse George is too good not to offer. We have not seen a young horse be as laid back and relaxed as him in a long time. George is easy-going, great with kids, gentle on the ground, and easy to shoe or catch. We have used him exclusively in our outfitting team to pack, ride, and pull strings. George has also been used around the ranch to move cows, wrangle horses, pull haying equipment, and pull wagons. George is consistently used by all ages, in the summer he was being ridden by 8–10-year-olds almost every day, this fall he was used for all of our hunters varying in ages and riding experiences. WRANGLER – 2020 GRADE Bay Gelding.

Puppy Dog ALERT! Wrangler is one of the most remarkable horses we have seen on the ranch this year, standing at 14.3 HH, he is a fan favorite. He may not be as fancy and flashy as others we have to offer, don’t let that fool you from how proficient he can be. Wrangler has been used broadly on the ranch for branding, gathering, sorting, roping, and wrangling cattle and horses. Often times without having a bridal on! This past fall, he was used extensively in hunting camp. From leading pack strings through the brutal Wyoming country to carrying meat and horns, he was a vital part of our outfitting. Wrangler is exceptionally broke, easy to catch, and loves attention he is an in your pocket 24/7 kind of horse. STUNNED!! From the day we brought Gump home we have been in total awe of the horse he has become. Gump was a favorite right away here on the ranch, standing at 15 HH, he easily made it to the top of our sale list. Copper sure is a showstopper! Standing at 15.1 HH he is an attractive bay horse with a lot of potential. Cody is a ½ draft colt we raised out of our mare Jane. We sold him last fall, but his ride fell through, so we ended up buying him back and I’m glad we did. It’s been fun to watch him mature into the prospect he is today. It just would not be right to start off our 2nd Annual Production Horse Sale with anything but the best! ZENA is our most tried and true mare of them all! Standing at 15.3 HH, we are sad to see her leaving the ranch. Zena has been a staple horse for us the past couple of years. She is safe, reliable, good-hearted, and has just an all-around fantastic personality. She is easy to shoe, load, and catch in the pasture. He may be small, but he is MIGHTY! Standing at 14.2 HH Poncho may not be one of the largest mules we have offered, but he definitely does not let that stop him. We have used Poncho exclusively in our outfitting camps and could not have asked for a better pack mule. To say he is reliable would be an understatement, pack anything and everything on him. Poncho has seen some of the most brutal country that Wyoming has to offer, often in the most unfortunate weather conditions, but he is never even phased, never lets the leads get tight while packing no matter the terrain. HOLLY – 2020 GRADE Sorrel Draft Cross Mare.

Holly is a classy, big, blazed face sorrel mare we have to offer. Standing at 16 HH Holly has the size and the strength along with the correct foundation work started on her to be a great fit in any program. This past fall we used Holly in our outfitting camps as a pack horse and packed all kinds of loads on her, including meat and horns in the roughest of country that Wyoming has to offer. Holly has a solid 30 days of riding on her and will continue being ridden until the sale is over. She is not always easy to catch in a big pen, but when we separate her off, we have zero issues. CEDAR – 2024 GRADE Bay Roan ½ Draft Mare.

An incredible filly out of our draft stud Cactus and a Hairpin bred mare that is a granddaughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey. Hard for me to find the words on how to describe this filly. She is my favorite. Her dark bay roan color and white feathered front socks, if you love draft cross horses, how can you just not fall in love. But the most important thing is she is built correctly. We own lots of daughters out of her dam. She will probably mature around the 15.1 hh so the “perfect size” as we like to say… NOTE… Unfortunately, we had strangles run through all our horses this summer… and she ended up breaking out on the hind leg. I worked closely with our vet all summer. Her leg is still a tiny bit swollen, and she has made a full recovery, but the swelling is still noticeable today. She walks 100% sound. Doesn’t seem to be bothered by it.  I will scratch her from the sale if I do not feel confident in selling her and our vet will look at it one more time before the sale. Amazing All-Around Draft Cross gelding. Joe is a HUGE, extremely well broke and gentle gelding that would be suitable for any level of rider. He is 16 years old, stands over 16 hands tall, and is built like a tank. He is not super-fast but is very athletic, especially for his size. Joe had a solid ranching foundation and even spent some time as a pickup horse before becoming a 4-H and gaming horse for 2 teenage girls. The young ladies outgrew him and I was looking for the perfect step-up horse for my novice husband. We bought Joe 2 years ago shortly after moving to Oregon and buying a farm. Now, realizing how little time he would have for riding, my husband has made the tough decision to sell Joe to a good home that will actually use him. This horse is the kind every family is looking for. Any person that wants to have a safe, easy ride no matter the job, location or weather conditions, this is the horse for you. Absolutely finished in or out of the arena. Trail horse Deluxe and can carry even the heaviest of riders. Gentle enough to put little kids on but handy enough for a day rider needing to get work done. Lots of fence checking, moving cows, a couple barrel races and local 4-H shows are what we have done with him this year. We even had a 9-year-old jump ride him at a barrel race in the pee wee division, and she won third place money. I also took him to a Halloween themed 4-H show in October and he won first place in 2 adult open classes, and we took second place in the costume contest. Tons of videos to show how amazing he is.
