Articus or Artie is half quarter horse out of a Metallic Cat mare and a half Friesian from a “Ster” stallion. He turned 2 April 20, 2024 big for his age he stands just over 15 hands and weighs in at 1000 pounds. A fine specimen of a great crossbreed with the head and color of the quarter horse and the powerful definition of his father with perfect feet and heavy bone. This youngster is built for the long-haul. He has spent every day for the last two months in the mountains wearing nothing but a set of shoes and a pack saddle. He will cross your rivers, snow drifts, logs, negotiate heavy timber and is very camp broke. Shoes like a veteran and framed for a saddle. He has had a couple of corral rides with no buck.
