MARKSLITTLE CHEYENNE – 2021 AQHA Palomino Mare x Kat N Ike Joe x Show Me A Song Joes out of Marks Little Lynx x Tender Joe Jack.

She’s around 14.2 hands, will fill out a lot more. This filly has a really nice start on her. I halter broke her and started her under saddle and have been the only one that has ridden her and I know the people who raised her, so I know what I’ve got. She has been super easy to start, willing, athletic and takes everything new really well. I have around 70 rides on her and she will continue to be ridden until she sells. She gets better every ride. I’ve roped logs and drug them off her, she’s moved cows around, have just started to work on sitting down and turning a cow. She’s been hauled and does really well. Took her on a horn hunt where a bunch of people take off running on horses full speed, she did awesome! Totally under control. Doesn’t get jazzed up, keeps her brain and does well in new places. She’s been ridden on a two day trip through the Bob Marshal Wilderness. Stands tied, loads, crosses water, and trims great! Is shod right now and did really well on getting her first set of shoes on. She’s got a scar on her right front ankle, and her foot isn’t perfect shaped. She’s sound, has never taken a lame step. That is the only fault she has is that foot isn’t perfect. Duke and Jake are a phenomenal team. They stand around 14 hands and are gentle, sweet individuals. They have been used in a four-up team pulling the stagecoach as the lead team in the Deadwood, SD Days of ’76 parade and rodeo in 2022 and 2023. They had been left to sit for a year and were harnessed and driven in the 2023 parade. They then sat for another 6 months and were driven right off again and did great. They have been used to give stagecoach rides at Medora, ND this year and are a consistent team. They are said to have had 30 days of riding put on them when they were two but we have only used them for driving and giving rides at Medora. They are sound. I have drug a lot of calves on Ray and pasture doctored calves and cows on him, step off and do your work and he will stand still until you get back on. I have recently started coming out of the heading box on him and believe that this is truly where he will excel! Ray can be cinchy when he is fresh but solid as a rock once he is warmed up. We’ve been hauling him to the local roping jackpots just for exposure to warm up with other horses and stand tied and watch the commotion. I truly believe Nikon would make an excellent prospect for any discipline, I could see him excelling in barrels because he has the turn and the speed, heeling because he really has a lot of cow about him and he’s the right size, and also ranching because he’s sensible and smart. Nikon is starting to neck rein, he works off of your seat and leg well.
