SMOKIE – 2016 GRADE Quarter Pony Gelding

Smokie is an outstanding barrel racing and pole bending quarter pony. He stands 13 hands tall, so an adult can ride him as well as a kid. I bought Smokie for my 8 year old daughter but he is extremely quick and fast. He is too fast for her. Best suited for an older kid or junior high girl looking for a horse to rodeo on. Perry is a super easy to get along with athletic young gelding. He is an excellent ranch and trail horse and has been ridden extensively through Tennessee and Kentucky terrain, crossing anything in his path with no fuss. He has been used to sort and check cattle, aswell as sort sheep on multiple occasions. Chicken is a 2015 palomino gelding with a solid foundation and a year of professional reining training where he was ridden consistently six days a week. He has been shown in reining classes and handled the show environment well. He neck reins, rides one-handed, and is very responsive to his rider. Chicken is a sweet-natured horse that enjoys attention and wants to do the right thing. He is an athletic and capable gelding with a lot of ability and would make a great partner for someone who enjoys a responsive horse. He is best suited for an advanced intermediate to experienced rider, as he is a sensitive horse and does best with a confident, quiet rider who can help build his confidence. He is kind and willing but not recommended for beginners. Prior to my ownership he was used as a pack horse.
