We haven’t taped him officially, but Maverick probably stands around 15 – 15.1 hands. We’ve had Maverick for a couple of years. The first year he was used as a guide horse for the season, and he was good for the experienced riders. But last year he was left turned out, we just didn’t need him and had too many to ride already. Maverick does have a nice handle on him and he’s pretty broke, but he can be cold backed. Could be just from having a whole year off, but right now Maverick is a project horse for a gritty, experienced hand. He’d make a heck of a using horse after a little attitude adjustment. He just needs job and we think he’d come around with some steady miles and wet saddle pads, but we just don’t have the time to commit to him. He’s never been lame, he’s tough, and generally not hard to catch. He loads and hauls and is decent about his feet. He is UTD and sells sound. Search @BarWHorses on YouTube for videos.
