FRECKLES – 2010 GRADE Chestnut Gelding.
14hh 1200lbs. Freckles is a seasoned gelding that we have used for ranching, hunting, packtrips, 4-H, and junior rodeo. Easy to get on, but built stout to handle any job!! He is a pleasure to ride outside and ranch on. He is great to brand or sort cattle on. He is surefooted and likes to travel. He has good feet and bone and is sound and will be current on worming and vaccinations. He stands like a rock to shoe. He has also packed lots of elk and gear in & out of the hills. My 11 year old daughter has rode him the last 4 years as well, and been successful on him. They have learned a lot together. He has done goat tying, barrels, poles (runs in 3d), breakaway and heels. She has shown him at county fair in trail, reining, cowhorse, and English. She has carried flags and been in parades. He is good with all the commotion and she is very comfortable on him outside gathering cattle and riding in the mountains. He has also ski-jored. She has upgraded to a faster one now and that is why we’re letting him go. He has a big motor and likes to travel. For this reason he is not a beginner horse. He is one that you have to ride and has all the buttons and is sensitive. He would be great for an 8+ kid with some experience looking for more go or at least a somewhat experienced rider.
