King is a home raised gelding, sired by Frenchmans Elvis who is by the great Frenchmans Guy. We know everything there is to know about this wonderful gelding. He has been a part of our program for 7 years. We have done everything with King, from halter breaking and breaking him to ride, to heading steers and roping bulls in the pasture. King is a very versatile young gelding with a great mind, wonderful confirmation, and is sure to be great in any direction you choose to use him. I have been heading steers on King for over a year and he is now jackpot or rodeo ready. He breaks across the line as flat as one can get, runs extremely hard to cattle with a great move and snappy face. You don’t get the combination that King has very often with his ability to move like a cat, watch a cow like a border collie dog, and gentle enough for the whole family to enjoy. King has seen every aspect of ranching one can possibly see. He has been night calved on, all while using a headlamp and flags, taking it all with ease. He has been sorted on and loaded numerous trucks, opens and closes gates without any fuss, branded hundreds of calves, and doctored several yearlings outside by himself. King has spent many days and miles in the mountains with rocky terrain and is always sure footed wherever you take him. King is great about his feet and is wonderful to shoe. He wears a number one shoe all the way around and has great black feet. There is nothing this great gelding has not been exposed to in or out of the arena. He is always sure to stay gentle and broke with several months off. If you ask a lot of him he will have a lot of go. However, if you are a low key rider, he will slowly ease around. Best suited for a confident rider. King is a special gelding to our family due to his kind demeanor, beautiful appearance, unique talent, and willingness to participate in whatever you please.
