MINERALOGY – 2014 JC Dark Bay/Brown Gelding x Gemologist out of Orabell x Orientate.

Yankee is a pretty dark brown color and stands 16 hands tall. Between 2017 & 2018 he won three races and made a total of $63,600. We were told he’s been used as a lesson horse and started a little bit in dressage by the previous owner. We’ve used him the last couple of years as a trail horse. Yankee is good riding out with a group and will lead or follow. We’ve never tried to take him out alone, so can’t say for sure how he’d do. He neck reins a little bit, but responds to leg pressure really well. Best suited for an intermediate rider as he can be more forward at the trot and lope, but he’s generally calm and quite at the walk. Yankee is not spooky, and does great with time off. He’s very personable and friendly and is easy to catch. He stands tied, loads, hauls, and is good with his feet. He’s been shod every summer. He does have a small scar on his left front leg from an injury in March that caused us to pull him from that sale. He was never lame on it the whole time we doctored him. He is sound and UTD.
