He’s packed, gathered and trailed cows, run the saddle horses in and worked the calving sled. Surefooted in any terrain, rides off by himself with no problem and is a seasoned soldier who isn’t scared of anything and doesn’t back down. We have owned him for 2 years and he’s plumb gentle with no hump or buck, but just like every old ranch man he is tough as leather and can be hard-mouthed at times, so needs a steady-but-firm hand. He is super honest, rock solid with time off, good with tarps, panniers, ropes, dogs, etc. Friendly and easy to be around, good to catch, tie, shoe, load and all the things.
