JP – 2008 GRADE Bay Gelding

JP has been my go to heel horse for the last few years. Would be a perfect fit for a junior high or high school kid wanting to heel or even just a good ranch/trail horse to have around. He is sound, has a small bump on inside of right hind leg but has not ever bothered him. I’ve been roping all winter on this horse and he is in shape and ready to go. Very gentle and friendly, will meet you at the gate every time! I have won a lot on this horse, only reason for selling is looking for the next step. Maintenance isn’t anything out of the ordinary. Nancy is one of those horses that we will hate to let go of. We’ve had her since she was a weanling and started her last year. She has a ton of miles on her behind cows, team sorting, and has a lot of arena work. She was started as a 2-year-old with light, short rides in the mountains and some arena work following steers and roping the dummy. As a 3-year-old during last hunting season, she was one of our main riding horses for getting back into the backcountry. She packed out two animals and handled it like a pro. She’s been used to pony young horses and has been to town multiple times. She was also used last summer for trailing cattle out of the mountains and did great. Recently, she’s been started in cow horse work, working buffalo, and she’s picking up on cutting very well. She’s been exposed to a lot and has handled herself exceptionally. Roana is built like a barn. She has been used on the ranch in the feedlot and started in the arena. She got a later start in life so only has a couple years of riding. But she has seen A LOT of miles in that time. She has been used up in the steep and rough country to gather and handles herself really well! She has worked in a feedlot checking pens, sorting, and doctoring, and been to the branding trap. We have her started out of the head box on live cattle and she takes to it really well.
